The Knights of Columbus has always been a strong supporter of the Priesthood and a generous supporter of Seminarians. As such, Council 788 has provided assistance to two current Seminarians: Deacon Dan Kogut and James Mangan. Dan will be ordained a Priest in 2011 and James will follow in 2012. Dan Attends Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit while James is currently attending the Pontifical North American College in Rome (where Fr. Vincke is headed).
Keeping the above in mind, we have an opportunity to partake in a Eucharistic Holy Hour for Vocations on Thursday August 5th at 7:00 p.m. at St Gerard Church. The Holy Hour begins with Exposition of the Eucharist followed by a "Rosary for Vocations". There are devotional prayers and intercessions for vocations and then closing Benediction.
We thank all of you in advance for considering participation in this important prayer service.
"The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; therefore, pray". (Mt. 9: 37-38)
